Topics covered include race, human rights, economics, music, migration, politics, and ideology. Countries studied include Guatemala, Ecuador, Colombia, Cuba, and Argentina, but may vary in any given year. The course makes use of ethnographies, films, music, newspapers, and the Web. 4 SH.
