Considers basic concepts in future studies, fundamental premises, epistemological considerations, critical issues, methods of social forecasting, and future social policy. Also includes the investigation of key social, economic and political trends and how they are likely to affect institutions and social processes in the future. Prerequisite: SOCI:101 or two courses in the social sciences. 4 SH.
