Modern Languages Capstone. This course serves as a required capstone experience for French, German and Spanish language majors. Students in this course will reflect and build upon their study abroad/language immersion experience. The course will include theoretical texts and discussions on intercultural communications and experiences, as well as a reflective essay related to some aspect of each student's own experiences. Language majors enroll in this course immediately after returning from their study abroad program. Non-language majors who have studied abroad for a minimum of one semester and international students at the university may also be permitted to enroll in the course. The course is taught in English. Prerequisites: one semester off-campus study and completion of one 300-level language course or instructor's permission . 2 SH. Core: Capstone.
