Using the news media, readings (literary, theoretical, polemical), and film, this course will explore a variety of socio-political issues in France today. Past issues have included French relations with the European Union, the United States, and former colonies; educational reform; debates in the arts and popular culture; the status of women; immigration; and globalization. Course conducted in French. Prerequisite: FRNC:301 or FRNC:302. 4 SH.
