WRIT 450 - Advanced Creative Writing

An intensive, rigorous discussion of student writing in a workshop atmosphere, along with intensive reading in the genre. Special emphasis on the development of a significant body of work in preparation for an understanding of what is required to write a book in the genre being studied. Topics will vary and may include fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, editing and publishing, or screenwriting. Each workshop may be repeated once. Prerequisite: WRIT:350 or permission of the instructor. 2-4 SH.
