A study of the effects of warfare on the history of American women and of the ways that American women have influenced war. We will use class readings from both primary and secondary sources, discussion, and film analysis to study the lives and influences on women during the American Revolution, the Civil War, World Wars I and II, the Vietnam Conflict, and the modern Gulf Wars.
