This course will focus on the poster as a venue for large and small scale multiples intended to reach a vast audience. Included in the course will be a review of the history, function and the aesthetics qualities of the poster along with the considerations of projecting a clear message to the intended audience. Projects will be done by a number of processes including letterpress printmaking, copy machine and larger format digital printing. Both Photography and Digital Photography skills will be important to know although illustration can also be chosen as the means of image making. Satisfies studio elective credits; Recommended for Juniors and Seniors.
