This course is geared for anyone who wants to know more about green design, whether in the interior design business or interested in upgrading your own surroundings. Topics covered include alternative and safe "green" applications for energy-conserving products such as lighting, flooring, windows, and insulating materials, as well as non-polluting products and sources for coatings, wallpaper, and fabrics. Solutions by top architects and designers for addressing environmental issues in residential and commercial projects will be explored. Participants will learn how to make a difference through the application of practical guidelines for responsible interior design.
