Description:
This course is designed around a series of studio projects that are set by the instructor and contained in the semester syllabus handed out at the first class. The main emphasis in this class is for the student to develop a cohesive and original body of work along the lines of their own particular interest. It is expected that the work would be of a standard that reflects serious and dedicated commitment to what she wants to say as an artist. Freedom of materials within this context is normally given unless specified by the instructor. Work and progress are reviewed at regular intervals by the instructor and her peer through critiques and stand up presentations, which are designed to develop the student's confidence and to refine and practice the use of language in front of an audience.
