3.0 GPA in all CS and required art history courses; cannot enroll if on probation in the major. Focus on development of an independent, original, student-generated curatorial project focused on a specific topic, idea, body of work. Emphasis will be on how to construct a topic, how to research previous work in the area, how to determine the scope of a project that is viable and how to identify artists and specific works that might potentially be included in such an exhibition. Attention will be paid to how to generate an exhibition proposal, how to develop the supporting materials that explain the rationale for the exhibition, the budget, and the installation requirements.
