This course is an introduction to the process of fusing vitreous enamel (glass) to metal. A variety of application techniques will be covered, including an exploration of traditional embellishments of the surface, such as cloisonn? china painting, and the use of metal leaf on enamel. We will also explore new techniques such as computer- generated decorative decals. Students interested in working both two & three-dimensionally are welcome. No jewelry/metals experience is necessary.
