Distinguish and analyze color by breaking it down to its three elements: hue, chroma and value. Additional color terminology will be taught. Study color theory and how the application of additive and subtractive color mixing via light and pigments forms the foundation from which to build color awareness and skills. Learn the chemistry of paint to inform color mixing and matching, and gain an understanding of how lighting and surface affects color.
