PSY 500 - Independent Study.

Each student will complete a research project under the supervision of a departmental faculty member. The student should plan on working at least three hours per week for each credit of independent study. Students are limited to three credits (or less) of independent study per semester. Grading is pass/fail only. Prerequisite: (must meet all) PSY 216; PSY 359; psychology or psychobiology major or minor; junior or senior standing; overall GPA of at least 3.0. Student should submit a proposal of what he or she will do to the contact instructor and department chairperson by the end of the first week of classes. Any non-research PSY 500 credits must be pre-approved by the department chairperson before registration. The final paper must be turned in before the last day of classes (prior to finals week) and one copy of the final paper should be submitted to the departmental chairperson. 1 to 3 credits.
