This course focuses on the structures and functions of sensory systems. It includes the study of the visual system as a model to delineate information processing strategies in the eye, the optic nerve and the brain. The course will delineate sensory from perceptual processes. The perception of visual, olfactory, auditory, physiological, and philosophical perspectives. Prerequisite: PSY 100, 110, 210 or permission. One course in biology is recommended. 3 credits.
