A study of the biological mechaniosms underlying of behavioral processes. The course focuses on the physiology of reflexes, sensation and perception, learning and memory, sleep, and motivation and emotion. The laboratory portion of the course includes sheep brain dissection, rodent sterotaxic neurosurgery, and behavioral observation. Prerequisites: PSY 100 or 120 or permission;completion of a Biology course is recommended. 3 credits. {Cross listed as PBI 444.}
