Music education majors spend a semester in the music department of a school district under the supervision of cooperating teachers. Prerequisites: A cumulative GPA of at least 2.80 during the first six semesters; successful completion of piano and voice proficiency juries; completion of music core courses and MSC 216 and 316, MED 136, 223, 227, 330, 331, 333, 334, 335, 336, including field experiences, 345 or 347 and EDU 110; approval of the music faculty. Students are responsible for transportation; the College cannot ensure that student teaching placement can be in a local geographic area. 4 or 8 credits.
