The absolute necessity of knowing how, when, why, and the what of dealing effectively with students who have special learning needs will be addressed in this course. Ways of observing, of recording, and of responding to student behaviors will be developed. Intervention strategies will be studied and evaluated. Classroom management will be analyzed and reflectively applied. Includes a required weekly field experience in a special education setting. Prerequisites: EDU 110, 310 311, 312. 3 credits.
