(Summer; Yearly; 3.00 Credits) This course investigates the process of first and second language acquisition and becoming bilingual /bicultural, as well as the development of literacy skills in English language learners. A practical component of the course includes language and cultural instruction. Corequisite: ED463D. Prerequisites: Instructor permission. Students registering for this course are planning trip but do not want to receive college credit for the associated courses (ESL462D and/or ESL463D).
