(Either Semester; Yearly; 3.00 Credits; F) This course will introduce the basic skills and thought regarding clay as a mode of expression. Students will learn hand-built and wheel-thrown techniques and also how to incorporate content while refining their skills. Students will be involved in the entire ceramic process, from the use of raw materials to make clay and glazes through an introduction to fundamental firing procedures. Creative thought and discourse occurs frequently over the course of the semester to develop skill and aesthetic understanding. Note: additional lab fees apply.
