Continuation of FA 230. This course is designed to foster greater independence and further develop a personal approach to the medium. Assignments are devised to allow for the greatest possible variation in interpretation. Through readings dealing with contemporary art and ceramics art criticism the course emphasizes the development of a contextual base for the creative process. Includes visual presentations that focus on contemporary ceramics, sculpture, and installation. Six studio hours weekly and independent work. Prerequisite: FA 230.
