Comprehensive introduction to the basic printmaking disciplines (intaglio, relief) through traditional and contemporary techniques. Emphasizes the creative process, experimentation and exploration to encourage the development of style and image. Includes lectures on print history, group and individual critiques, and field trips to The Philadelphia Print Club and area galleries. Requires an additional studio fee. Six hours weekly and independent work. Prerequisite: FA103 or 104.
