This course engages art education candidates in developing an understanding of the philosophy and principles of art education in the elementary school curriculum. Students will study classroom problems and procedures in various teaching situations. Emphasis is placed upon application, observation and evaluation of teaching at the elementary level. This course is a pre-student teaching experience in which eachstudent prepares lessons for N-7 instruction. Activities include field trips, observations and classroom presentations.
