Emphasis on conceptual approach to such topics as the evolution of stars, the formation of galaxies, interstellar communication, and the Big Bang. Sky observations utilizing the UNCG telescopes included. 235 intended to complement 209, although each course is independent of the other. No science or math background beyond the level of high school algebra required. (Spring)
