Introduction to basic patient care techniques commonly experienced in a radiology department. Techniques include: venipuncture, EKG placement, oxygen administration, and vital sign assessment. Also introduces concepts relevant to the patient s physical and psychological needs. Prerequisite: Admission in the Medical Radiography Program or Consent of Instructor and current documented paid or volunteer patient care experience of at least 40 hours.
