Description:
-
Taught as a writing laboratory, this course introduces students to multiple models of creativity employed in the writing process. An impulse writing technique (right brain) will be combined with structural markers appealing to left hemisphere of the brain. Together, these provide the basis for the writing process in this class. Students will write twelve short projects (ten- minute plays and one-acts) during the first half of the class, while the last half of the course will be dedicated to the writing of a full-length small-cast play as a term project. Prerequisite: COMM 310 or instructor approval. 3-0-3
