Forging metal has been an integral part of sculpture throughout time. Students in this class learn the basic skills needed to successfully manipulate metal through the forging process. An understanding and application of safe tool use is examined. Students also are introduced to the historical and contemporary contexts of forging. Prerequisite: SCPT 110.
