This course focuses on basic surface design techniques that enable students to apply images and texture to fabric and fiber. Traditional techniques and contemporary variations are explored as methods to develop meaningful surfaces that incorporate image, pattern and surface texture. Both technical understanding and creative use of media are stressed. Prerequisite: FIBR 101.
