This course examines the medieval and modern mythology surrounding the reign of the Celtic war Duke Artos. Texts include a selection from the following: Le Morte D'Arthur (both Wace's and Malory's), Brut, Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, The Quest for the Holy Grail, Idylls of the King, The Once and Future King, The Mists of Avalon and the novel series by Mary Stewart, Steven Lawhead and Nikolai Tolstoy. Prerequisite: ENGL 123.
