Preparation for role transition from vocational to professional nursing is included in this course. Topics include health promotion, expanded assessment, analysis of data, nursing process, pharmacology, multidisciplinary teamwork, communication, and applicable competencies, knowledge, judgment, skills and professional values within a legal/ethical framework throughout the lifespan. Prerequisites: Admission to the ADN Program. Students must be co-enrolled in RNSG 1162 clinical component & RNSG 1300. Offered in summer only. Three theory hours per week. Credit: Three semester hours.
