Prerequisites: BUS 500 or permission of instructor. The course will focus on the activities necessary to produce and deliver goods and services in today's business entities. The concepts that help managers deal with these activities (such as operations strategy and process choice, total quality management, statistical quality control, project management, supply chain management, capacity management, and customer service) are examined and applied. Operations within traditional manufacturing firms, as well as service organizations, are covered.
