Prerequisites: CGS 3408 or equivalent; EEL 3135; EEL 3512, EEL 4021. This course covers the fundamentals of wireless communications and systems. The core topics include radio-wave propagation characteristics of wireless channels; modulation and demodulation techniques for mobile radio; reception techniques for wireless systems; fundamentals of cellular communications; multiple access techniques; wireless networking; and hybrid networking of a wireless system and the Internet.
