This course stresses the basic concepts of learning biological, physical, and environmental science with emphasis on applying these skills to teaching at the early childhood level. Students will gain an understanding of how the development of cognitive skills in children age three through eight can be enhanced through effective program planning, implementation, and assessment in natural or formal settings. Students will also apply information learned through practical field experiences in settings with children ages 3-8.
