3 Credits This course studies the special situations associated with wireless communications, in particular from moving platforms. The basic physics of radio wave propagation are studied including signals, antennas, and multipath problems. Spread spectrum techniques are discussed along with other modulation methods applied to mobile radio including space-based systems. Cellular techniques are studied.
