3 Credits This course will introduce the basic principles of several modes of transportation, including air, sea, rail, automobile, transit, and pipeline. The operating characteristics of each mode is discussed, as are issues associated with inter-modal competition, compatibility, and inter-connectivity, the importance of each in the economy, environmental issues, and future developmental prospects. Prerequisite: BA 201.
