Fall-Spring Semesters This course is designed to offer prospective elementary classroom teachers an in-depth analysis of the best in children's literature, an overview of the qualities of good literature, and demonstrated methods of including literature throughout every subject area. Emphasis will be placed on an overview of the eight genres of literature, the elements of a good book, and the methods and procedures of incorporating literature into the curriculum. Prerequisite: PPES 3 credit hours.
