Fall-Spring Semesters This is a one-semester course designed for business, biology and other majors needing an applied calculus course. Included topics are: calculating derivatives, maximum-minimum problems, curve sketching, calculating integrals & determining area under curves - and applications. The course uses applications from the business sector, and from life sciences and the social sciences. A recent and solid algebra background is essential for success in this course. Prerequisite: A 2.0 or higher in College Algebra MAT105 or the equivalent. 3 credit hours.
