This course is designed to introduce the student to the use of computers. The course will require the student to demonstrate a mastery of computer terminology, a comprehension of the history and significance of computers in society, and an ability to use computers in a range of projects involving data processing, text writing, computer-aided instruction, and other applications related to teaching and research in the liberal arts. This course meets the computer literacy requirements for students seeking teacher certification. It also will help meet the growing need for using the computer as a research tool.
