This seminar-style course will focus on pathologies in a topic selected by the instructor (orthopedic, neurologic, or cardiopulmonary disorders). The students will have the opportunity to learn about the disorders, medical diagnosing and treatment of the disorders, and to read research papers related to the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of the disorders. The students will also be expected to write one short paper on an approved diagnosis of choice and possibly role-play a patient for the student physical therapists. Course may be repeated twice for credit when topics differ. Permission of instructor required. Prerequisite: BIO 1480, BIO 2423, and BIO 2424.
