This course introduces students to businessoriented programming. Problem-solving techniques, design, programming, and fi lehandling will be emphasized. File and database organization and processing concepts will be introduced. Topics include fi le and database design and implementation, a survey of peripheral device characteristics, sorting and hashing techniques, list processing, direct access techniques, job privacy, and security. Prerequisites: BCIS 2330, BCIS 3320, and BCIS 3325. Lab fee.
