This fi eld-based course focuses on general principles of curriculum development. Strategies and techniques to create a successful learning environment, as well as the organization and management of curriculum are addressed. Emphasis is placed on planning, writing, and implementing effective lessons and units of study in alignment with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). The course must be taken in the semester preceding student teaching.
