Definition of musical terms, major and minor scales, rhythm, intervals, survey of musical instruments in various genres, and a cursory view of major historical figures in music history. Required of elementary education majors, and suitable for a fine arts elective in other fields. Prerequisite: None. Three class hours per week. Credit: Three semester hours.
