This course is designed to build on the skills learned in IDS130. The course will focus on the study and application of the principles of college writing and reading with an emphasis on research methodology and research writing. Students will learn and apply the research process by writing a number of well developed, thoroughly researched and documented essays using MLA guidelines. The assignments in the class will be related to those in Lyceum. In addition to three hours of class time and assigned homework, this course requires a minimum of one hour per week of independent study/research to be coordinated and supervised by the instructor. Prerequisite(s): Must be admitted/coded as member of the Bridge Program. Students must have "C" or better in IDS-091 or ENGL-095 and READ-095.
