An in-depth introductory survey of contemporary biology for students majoring in the biological sciences. Emphasis will be placed on topics which include evolution, biological diversity, ecology and comparative structure and function of organisms. Prerequisite: Exemption from or passing score on the reading section of the state test or completion of READ 0306 with a "C" or higher score. Threeclass hours and three laboratory hours per week. Credit: Four semester hours.
