IDS 231 - College Writing/Reading/Critical Thinking/Analysis II

This course is designed to build on the skills learned in IDS 230 and will focus on research methodology and research writing. Students will apply the research process by writing a number of well developed. Thoroughly researched and documented research essays using MLA guidelines. In addition to three hours of class time and assigned homework, this course requires a minimum of one hour per week of independent study to be coordinated and supervised by the instructor. Students enrolled in IDS 131 and IDS 231 attend class together. IDS 232 students are expected to perform at a more advanced level and complete different assignments than IDS 131 students, as specified in the course syllabus.
