(Formerly EDUC-201) Designed for students who are considering teaching as a profession, the course will examine historical and philosophical foundations of American education, learning theories, contemporary students, and curriculum development. The course will also explore the social, political, cultural, and economic pressures that influence current issues and trends in education. Includes required lab experience that gives students opportunities to practice learned concepts. Prerequisite(s): Assessment at college-level English and reading.
