An introduction to invertebrate phyla and subgroups with emphasis on form and functional morphology, organ systems, life history, ecology, and behavior. Course includes dissections, examination of preserved material, demonstrations, and observations of living animals. In addition, students will organize an invertebrate collection based on local fauna. Prerequisite: BIOL:202 or permission of the instructor. Laboratory may not be taken without BIOL:326. 1 SH. 3 laboratory hours.
