This course will provide application of the basic skills required for patient care. The students will learn essential body mechanics to avoid injury; infection control principles; required confidentiality information; legal and ethical principles; and an introduction to vital signs. Students will also complete CPR certification, HIV/AIDS certification for health care providers, and receive their program student handbooks. Same course as RC 175. Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into program.
