This course integrates assessment into the teaching and learning process as a vehicle for improving student learning, as well as addresses the critical role classroom assessment plays in the educational process and the influence on students' motivation to learn. It also introduces student-centered classroom assessment and the concepts and methods for developing performance tasks and rubrics, and emphasizes aligning curriculum with instruction and assessment. Prerequisites: EDUC:200 and junior status. 2 SH.
