This course is a basic introduction to the technology platform used in the design profession. Emphasis is on the operating system(s), computer operations, file types, format and management. Students learn fundamental software skills necessary to complete projects in GRDSN 103. Content includes operation of page layout, drawing and scanning software applications. Prerequisite: A COMPASS reading assessment score of 80 or above or an ASSET reading score of 40 or above and concurrent enrollment in GRDSN 101, 103, 104, 105 or permission of instructor. (SFCC)
