This is an advanced course in publication design. The course focuses on text-intensive publications (newsletters, newspapers, corporate brochures, financial reports). Projects focus on design and typography skills to communicate complex information clearly and effectively. Layouts are enhanced with expressive use of color, images and printing techniques. Projects develop composition skills using industry-standard computer applications. Prerequisite: GRDSN 141 and assessment reading score of 40 or above, or permission of instructor and concurrent enrollment in GRDSN 137 for 1 credit. (SFCC)
